Rural vs. Urban Thrifting
Hey everyone, it’s me checking in after a quick thrift run at the rural Goodwill just outside Grand Rapids. I started there and found three 1970s ice buckets in classic harvest colors—perfect for anyone building a retro bar setup. Added a solid soup mug and a set of small salt-and-pepper shakers that fit right into that cozy kitchen look.
Next stop was Legacy Thrift, which used to be my scrapbook store years ago, so walking in brought back a lot of memories. The standout pieces: a pair of milk-glass bud vases, a driftwood lake sign, a stained-glass panel, a polished brass bowl, a carved wooden accent, and a framed vintage photo of a boy and girl. Most of this is headed to my booth at Changing Thymes, with extras listed on Etsy for the cottagecore and French-country crowd. If you’re thinking about reselling, my free 20-step checklist is linked below. Watch the full video to see every find up close and follow the hunt in real time—hope to see you there. Let me know in the comments what you’ve found lately.
